Currently a consultation on parking in our area (until 11 August). The County is looking to equalise parking charges in Hastings with Eastbourne and Lewes. One motivation is climate change. Increased activity – drugs
In recent weeks many residents have noticed considerable drug dealing activity in the square and neighbouring streets.
STAR streets have been the subject of drugs raids. In one incident, one of our members’ houses was inappropriately entered by the police. The Residents Association is deeply concerned about the random nature of the entry, whilst supporting a much-needed focus on drugs in the area.
